Since 2024, the Franco-Ontarian Forum has brought together faculty members, administrators, leaders and decision-makers, research staff, and partners from the postsecondary sector to exchange, share practices, and co-create concrete solutions in Francophone higher education.
For this 4th edition, the Forum returns to its roots in Toronto and will explore a central question: how can Francophone higher education be better aligned with the needs of the labour market—today and in the years to come?

How can Francophone learners be prepared for priority industries through targeted upskilling, micro-credentials, and workforce

Partnerships
How can partnerships between institutions, industry, and sector stakeholders support applied research and economic development within Ontario’s Francophone community?
Program Overview

Roundtables and Interactive Sessions
Take part in roundtables and interactive sessions focused on concrete solutions, bringing together members of the higher education community as well as employers and labour market partners. Each session emphasizes audience interaction and live Q&A, promoting the sharing of best practices, pooling of expertise, and co-creation of strategies to better align the skills developed in Francophone higher education with current and future labour market needs.
Networking Lunch and Reception
Enjoy several special opportunities for networking, strengthening existing partnerships, and expanding your professional network throughout the day. Networking activities (including a catered lunch and an afternoon reception) offer informal moments to connect with colleagues, institutions, and partners, and spark new collaborations supporting skills development and employability in Francophone higher education.
