College La Cité and eCampusOntario partner to strengthen professional development in digital pedagogy

College La Cité is partnering with eCampusOntario through the Empowered Educator program, an initiative designed to support educators’ professional development and promote digital literacy across Ontario’s post-secondary sector. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to improving digital skills in Franco-Ontarian postsecondary institutions.

Together, both partners aim to foster the growth of digital literacy among educators. Through this collaboration, educators at College La Cité will benefit from a recognized training pathway, share their achievements via digital badges, and join a province-wide network dedicated to pedagogical innovation. eCampusOntario will oversee and refresh program content, award badges and micro‑credentials to educators who complete the training, and hold regular meetings with Pédagolab leaders to support continuous monitoring and improvement.

By positioning digital literacy as a core focus in postsecondary education, this initiative signals an important milestone in Ontario’s professional development evolution.
