President and CEO, Humber Polytechnic

Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan is a distinguished senior executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience in higher education. She currently serves as President and CEO of Humber Polytechnic and is the first woman to hold this role. Prior to this, Dr. Vaughan was President and CEO of Loyalist College and the College of the North Atlantic.

Throughout her career, Dr. Vaughan has championed innovation in the evolving energy sector and has a proven track record of supporting talent development, applied research, and technological advancement. A passionate advocate for expanding access to education as a catalyst for social and economic development, she serves as Chair of the eCampus Ontario Board of Directors and of Colleges Ontario’s Committee of Presidents. Dr. Vaughan is also the Ontario Representative on the Colleges and Institutes Canada Board of Directors and a Board Member of Skills Ontario. She previously served as Honorary Colonel with the Royal Canadian Air Force, 426 Training Squadron.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from Memorial University, a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of British Columbia, and a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Calgary.
