Adoption of an open astronomy textbook for two large first-year courses

This proposal is to adopt an existing open astronomy textbook into two large first-year courses that currently use a commercial publisher textbook. The funding would go towards modifying the book to the needs of the instructors as well as developing additional resources that would be freely-licenced.
